Chevrolet Chevelle Information

The last Chevelle SS was produced in 1973. By then the available performance options had all been downsized and the Chevelle was a shadow of the mighty muscle car it had once been. In 1977 the Chevelle was officially renamed the Malibu, which had previously been known as a Chevelle trim package.




Standard 396

End of a Era


New emissions standards in the 1970s marked the beginning of the end for the muscle car.
